Hey everyone, this is my first post and my first CC post ever... I am a newbie at photography and still getting a grip on the basics.. I originally wanted to veer towards portrait photography, but I took these pics yesterday and decided I really liked them and would use them as my first CC pics.

I have a T2i a month old and still learning it. My first ever "real" camera. All others were point and shoots that now looking back, just sucked! I'm in awe at the quality of this camera, and for me its a wonderful entry camera to help me learn on.

These photos were taken yesterday and edited in PS, no specifics just learning PS as well, so I was just hitting buttons, see what everything does.

One issue I'm having is Monitor Calibration, I am aware that it needs done and that there's software for this issue, but have not shelled out the money for that yet and not sure when I will be able to. Therefore, I'm aware that my photos aren't really looking how I see them on my "cracktop" (as I've seen others call it  )! I made some cute b/w photos and when I printed them out could barely see them, they were so dark! :o

Please CC, thanks!

Welcome to POTN. In my opinion, each image lacked a strong center of interest. The snow and trees were nice, but nothing in the image captured my attention. #22 has potential if more of the building was visible. #27 also has potential because the trees formed a nice leading line, but without a center of interest, that leading line goes nowhere.

Keep shooting and posting!

Welcome to the forums.

I think your images are pretty good. The look reasonably sharp, well exposed, and good color. I understand the previous comment about a focal point but didn't find it objectionable in these. They are pretty scenes. Maybe I appreciate them more because I'm not living in snow country any longer..
