Not my favorite subject really, but definately gets the most shots taken simply out of convenience. Aquarium photography is a bit of an art in and of itself because you have to deal with extremely low light, and fast moving subjects, so on my brightest tank (which is a 3 foot tank under 160 watts or so of lighting) the best I can usually do is ISO 400, 3.5 AE and 1/90s which isn't exactly ideal. So you learn to adapt, and improvise an awful lot. If anything, it makes most other conditions seem pretty damn easy by comparison ;)

It's not a bad start for someone like myself with less than a year's experience, I hope ultimately to get into the urban style of shooting but I get a bit nervous on just candidly popping people into my photographs without checking first... I'll have to work on that ;)

Nope, it's a green terror which comes from the same family of fish as Oscars do (Cichlids). They're pretty similar fish behavior wise, but are a different species.

Thanks for the comment. Aquarium photography is alright, I do some nature stuff as well which I'm going to get around to posting in the next few days, I just thought this would be a good intro since it's probably a bit different than what most people are into around here :)

Thanks again man

Great job, these turned out really well!
