CES is the Consumer Electronic Show. That's why mainly all you are seeing is all the consumer-level compacts.

If they did release a new body, then wouldn't that be releasing bodies too often?

Makes sense, I guess. 7D mk II is still consumer-ish.

I don't think so. Some models are due for an upgrade.
