Just got back into photography after a 10 year lay off. My current equipment is Canon T1i gripped with 70-200mm L f4, 55-250 IS and 18-55mm IS. Been shooting some difficult lighting shots lately which include indoor hockey and looking for a good beginner software to make adjustments exposure, noise reduction, sharpening etc....... Really need some advice. Very new to this and wanted a program that is fairly easy to use. Thank you

I would say Photoshop Elements would be good. Can be had for $99 or less.
If you are on a Mac they are selling Aperture in the new Mac app store for $79 compared to the regular $199.

Um... Hi

Lightroom might be worth a look for you too.

Running with a Dell laptop which hopefully be upgrading this year with Windows XP. Have plenty of memory and about 20 gb space remaining. I do have a 1 tb external hardrive. Don't know if this info is relevant. Also forgot to mention I have been shooting in RAW format only which was suggested to me for the ability to correct exposure and better quality images.

If you are shooting Raw then I'd definitely advise you to install the Canon Raw software Digital Photo Professional and then look at Elements 9 for more options (better sharpening and noise reduction for example, and tools for local adjustments).

You can do your Raw conversions in DPP if they don't need "special work", or try the Elements Raw processor as an alternative, or convert in DPP and open in Elements for special work. Having both apps will help you get the most out of your Raw files and Elements goes much farther in its capabilities.

Photoshop has been my photo editing software of choice since 1.0. I started skipping a release when it got to 5.0. Lightroom 3 I use to upload to Smugmug, Facebook and sometimes Flickr. It really has a nice publishing interface for that.
