Portrait with WL x-1600 and large Paul Buff Octa

Hey folks... Messing with White Lighting x1600 and Large Paul Buff Octa. Metered at F11 at 1/250 second on painted wall with a HOSTILE Model (aka my daughter who would rather be texting!! LOL !!) Used Nik Software Color EFX pro with Dynamic Skin Softener setting. C&C Welcome!!:D

That skin softening filter went a bit overboard, and it's uneven. It's a bit tough to evaluate the gradations of the light/shadow because of that, but it doesn't look like anything is blown out, at least.

+1. Dial it down about 50% and it should be good.

The main light was too far behind the subject and it was too low. Move it forward and up until there is a patch of the main light on the opposite upper cheek shaped like an upside down pyramid, and the main light catchlights are at the 1 o'clock position. Also her hands have a death grip on those lapels. Have her realax those hands and bend those wrists and have her lower one of them so they are not side by side. Things that are side by side are unexciting in portraiture.
