I posted in the Photo sharing section a couple of days ago and received some suggestions. Hope I am posting in the right forum.

Here was the original photo straight out of the camera via JPG (hadn't switched over to RAW yet)

After playing around in Lightroom, with some suggestions taken from the Photo sharing section:

Here was my original crop with some NR and sharpening with crop:

If I were to get super fancy, I suppose I would try and clone out that random grass sticking out, but just curious about what people think of the crop and PP effort as this is my first attempt.

Second question is if I were to print this 8x10, the crop comes out to 2291x1527. Would that come out fine?

Thanks!

Looks good to me, you have enough pixels to give you approx 200dpi for your print so should be OK.

Final result looks pretty good.

I did a 3-part series about my trials and errors as a self-taught bird photographer. Got some nice feedback from this forum.
