had a Huge snow (well only 4 inches but a lot for the south) and I got out with my 40D and sigma 18-50 f/2.8-4.5

was amazing about 10 o'clock seams like the entire student body residing on campus got out to play in the snow. camera performed flawlessly.

here's the 2 shots I was happy with, let me know what you think

Thanks a lot guys! the second one is my favorite as well. just a bit of desaturation at the top, and more saturation at the bottom to bring out the street light.

I was a couple hours north of there during Christmas time and we got quite a bit of snow too (in fact, another 8 inches dropped there yesterday). I was surprised to still see how much snow was on the ground in Birmingham the Monday after Christmas. I live in CA, but it was weird to think that it snowed anywhere in the south.

I like the point of view in the first shot. Really cool.

Can I take your picture? "I'll swallow your soul!" Well, my camera will at least.

Thanks its definitely going in my favorites list. I'm at UAB, the campus was absolutely crazy that night with everyone out playing in it.

and yes, this snow was one of the biggest i've seen this far south.
