Trouble embedding

I'm trying to embed photos from flickr that are only showing up as tiny icons in my post. You have a great tutorial and I hate to be so dumb, but I can't get it to work. Thanks for your help.

• Click the 'down arrow' on the size box to display all available sizes and select one.
  1280 pixels is the max. allowed for POTN use.

I'm having trouble embedding from my Photobucket account. It keeps giving me an invalid file message. And how DOES one embed up to 8 photos when it stops me at 2? Thanks for the assist!

If you are uploading from your computer to POTN you are limited to two uploads.

As for Photobucket, I haven't used it. Typically an online host will either save the original file you upload or resize to a "normal" viewing size or both, and then when you view the picture there will be a site-specific way of obtaining the image URL (often this is obscured by the site, preventing some unwanted things to happen).

You can check with the Photobucket documentation for specifics, unless a Photobucket user sees this and chimes in.

If you're being stopped at 2, you're attaching, not embedding. See the Image Posting FAQ in my sig. for more help.

This is because you copied the web page URL, not the image URL.

The code with the image name and user name links that were missing are there again.

Adding an optional step:

If you want to be sure that the image name and user name links are in the next line, below your image, you need to split the one-line code in two lines:

To split the lines, put the cursor between the two brackets in the consecutive 'url' tags near the middle of the line of code:
...[/IMG][/url] and [url=https:....
then click ENTER (<¬).
Be careful in this optional step if you are not familiar with BBCode.

Thank you!!!! I was about to self-destruct trying to figure this out.

Flicker has apparently changed again, there is no "Pin" when you click on the share link. What gives with this site?
