This time for sure. As most of you know when I made the switch to commercial/advertising 12 years ago I pretty much stopped doing wedding. Only a hand full (Maybe 6 or so) in the past 12 years. This is my very last one though for sure. Just a few very quick edits of a few of my favs.

Is it just me or are all of these a bit soft?

missed focus on a bunch of them for sure. The only one that looks in focus is the ring shot and the little girl peeping over the pew

Its photobucket. ;) (talked about in a different thread) Some intended movement on some of the dance shots but again the finals are razor sharp. Trust me I know what a sharp image is. :D

On the finals champagne glass shot you can actually see the scratches in the glass and the full length of the bride is almost to sharp. At 100% you can see the fabric on the buttons on the back of her dress and count her eyelashes.

Its photobucket. ;).

Are you serious? If that's really the case, then switch to something else; I agree, almost all these are off.

I just use photobucket to post here. I've posted shots that were used for ads on billboards and got the same soft comments. Its a compressed 96 DPI JPG in a hosting site that further compresses. Go figure things look a bit soft from time to time.

Well, how come the close up of the hands is so sharp - are you hosting that one somewhere else?

Its all the bucket. If you were here I would show you an amazingly sharp 13 X 19 and I shot with blads for years so I know sharp. ;)

You should never judge sharpness from images posted from 96 DPI compressed JPGs from a site that further compresses.

Lets put it this way. If you look at the exif on the F/L bride shot you will see that it was shot with a 35mm lens at f/9 and she was about 8 ft away. DoF would be about 11 ft. Photobucket doesn't feed the family and pixel peeping on websites that have compressed JPGs is kinda ridiculous anyway. As long as what I deliver to the client is sharp I could really care less what photobucket does.

i dont think any of us were pixel peeping, but when you have to rub your eyes to see if the blur goes away, somethings up, and i doubt its photobucket.

If indeed it is photobucket, which i highly doubt, you should switch to flickr, smugmug, or one of the other free, better, photography specific photo hosting sites.

You're right I have no idea what a sharp image is

Time to stop badgering the OP. I know other folks who have the same complaints with PB.
