We got hit with about 8" of snow last night, so I've been out with the camera this morning taking pictures. So far, everything is straightforward: XT body, 28-135 lens, 550ex flash on camera.

Critiques and Criticisms welcomed... this is the first time I've ever shot in legitimate snow and probably will be the last day for a few years... ;)

Wife and baby are sleeping right now, so it was just me and the dogs this morning. I hope to get plenty more pictures and try the 50mm prime out, too.

Sadie (left) and her sister, Sophie (right). This one absolutely captures their personality: Sadie is a troublemaker and Sophie is a big ol' baby.

Sophie - not as sharp as I had hoped. I let the AF do it's thing and it focused great... on the friggin' fence. lol

decided to do some research on my camera a bit and re-learned some things. So, I adjusted the Parameters from "2" to "1". According to the manual it increases contrast and sharpness. Figured I'd give it a shot. I also played with the AF metering and I think these two turned out really well:

Well, I thought my wife and kid would be getting up soon...
Plus, my dogs are my family.

If a mod sees it fit to move this thread, please do.
