I have only had my T1i for couple of months but long enough to realize its time for me to get the flash. I pretty much decided on the Yongnuo brand (Canon's are just a bit too pricey at the moment). it would be mostly used on camera to take pictures of the family around the house at first, but once I learn more about it I will be trying it OC as well.
My dillema is which one to get? Seems like 468 and 467 are the same except for the LCD display on the first one. Am I correct?
I am kind of leaning towards these two because of ETTL.

What would you suggest?

I recently puchased the YN_465. It is E-TTL compatable and works well. Really pleased with it so far.

I just got the Yongnuo 467. Very pleased so far. Good build and all the functions as claimed works on my T1i. Also easy to use. Ebay for $75 which includes free diffuser and free shipping. I would say the power is similar to the 430 ex. The guide number is 33 at 35mm and it appears to be that.

Thank you for your input.

another difference between the 467 and 468 is the multi (stroboflash) mode. is that something I should be worried about? again I am new at this so please be patient. LOL

i have the same situation, not sure which yongnuo to pick up. but right now the 468 is going for $88 shipped on ebay, compared to original price of $98. the 465 is about $65 on ebay, but its whatever fits your budget. the downside that i've heard about the display on the 468 are some people report having issues with missing letters or dim backlight.

thats why I dont really care much for a display (another thing that can break on it) if that is the only major difference.

Does anyone have any experience of these on a 7D?
I notice that the 467 is not compatiable with the 5D, so wonder which of the others is compatiable with the 7D?

It's compatible with the 5d it's just that the sellers are using old ad-copy. Should work with the 7d as well.

I figured I will bump this thread one time to see if anyone else cares to give their 2 cents.

I haven't used a Yongnuo flash yet, but I believe that multi-flash or stroboscopic flash is when the camera shutter stays open while multiple flashes are emitted from the flash. This produces an affect similar to multiple exposures in a single image. If the price difference is not much I'd probably get the 468, but if you don't want the LCD display and don't care about the multi-flash feature then get the 467.

How about the 560? I'm having a hard time telling the difference between any of these flashes with the guide numbers being based off different zooms and distances...any help would be great!

all I needed was ETTL and manual controls so the cheap YN465 looked to be the best value

I can confirm the YN-468 does work on a 7D.
