I am torn between a few rolling camera bags to use in the coming years. I am not looking for anything too huge (like the option of being able to carry on an aircraft) but would like some safe storage that can come along for the ride as opportunities dictate. I occasionally take camera gear on a small boat - water proof case could be a plus but I have other options if needed.
I have two gripped bodies and a hand full of lenses (big and small). Currently my backpack sees me leaving half my gear at home.

Bags I am looking at

Pelican 5014 with dividers.
Pros - able to fly, very durable storage, very water proof.
Cons - limited flexibility in storage options and not a very versatile bag design. Most robust but least functional.

Vanguard 46D with divider bag.
Pros - should be able to fly (outside the diamensions of carry ons but not by much). Pull out case that might afford other transport options in main case as well as carry on in smaller aircraft. Water proof. More storage configurations. Durable.
Cons - Little bigger than the pelican and no experience with the product.

Lowepro Pro roller X200
Pros - offers most flexibility in storage and usage. Looks like it holds the most. Supposed to be able to be carried on aircraft but is beyond the size limits for most airline carry on rules.
Cons - Not water proof (not a deal breaker but a negative none the less), Most expensive, no lifetime warranty (unlike the other two), Will probably show wear quicker than other two.

Has anyone positive or negative experiences with any of the above or perhaps a similar option in the $150 - 250 range?

Check these out:

I looked at the x200. It didn't have that much storage space for the size. Essentially, it was just a backpack in a suitcase on wheels.

The Kata has some nice options and features. I appreciate the tip ;)

I am liking the 76 but a few reviews say it wont make it on the plane - when it does it is too long in the overhead bins - guess there will always be debate as to how big or how small the airlines will accept these days. I am just not sure it if will be robust enough if it needs to go with the baggage handlers. If the hard cases end up being checked in I will be more confident in sustaining no damage.

Think Tank Airport Airstream is one of the smaller rollers that should fit under most carry on baggage restrictions.

The airstream is one I looked at but it seems a little on the small side - I guess that is the quandry I am up against - biggest bag that will still be allowed on. The picture in the link is similar to what I have only I have another gripped DSLR and a few other items that would not make the cut. Might have to leave someone behind regardless

I also see I was mistaken with my assessment of the Vanguard 46 - it is not a roller bag - the 53 is but not the 46
