Sunset, Sunrise - Christmas 2010

Hi All,

Went up to the snowy hills of Arizona for our family Christmas celebration this year, and we were blessed first with a very nice sunset at the end of Christmas Day :

IMAGE NOT FOUND
HTTP response: 404 | MIME changed to 'image/gif' | Byte size: ZERO | PHOTOBUCKET ERROR IMAGE


Then, while everyone else slept in, I got up on Sunday morning and witnessed a really wonderful sunrise:

Yes, both have contrails in them, alas..

In Arizona we get somewhat used to spectacular sunrises and sunsets, but they're always different and they never fail to inspire. Now if only I could find a spot without contrails..

nice work, it's too bad those sunrises happen so darn early in the morning

Yeah, that is a problem for sunrises..:D

I actually find sunrises more satisfying than sunsets for some reason - maybe it's because it's getting warmer instead of colder (important this time of year).
