Laughing Gulls - Winter Plumage

Got these at lunch today, using 200mm L + Kenko MC4 Teleconverter.
ISO400, 1/1600s., F6.3 (probably really f/11). Data in camera ignores the teleconverter, but exposure is fine. These are uncropped, but resized for display here.

Exposure adjustment and one pass of USM in Photoshop CS2.

Not bad Dale, could do a little more sharpening and contrast. The MC4 does lose you a bit of sharpness. You really got in close on that first shot though, nice. Is it just me or do you have some dust/goobers on the sensor ? left side of 2nd photo I see two spots.

Mitcon, thanks. May be some crud on the sensor. I really didn't notice, probably because both my glasses and monitor need cleaning, too!

I am a real newbie with PS and have just started working on improving sharpness. I am learning some great stuff on the Forum, but sometimes this old dog is a little slow on the uptake.
