Edit: I updated white balance issues

Recently I was asked if I could come to two homes and take portraits of the family at their home. I found this to be somewhat challenging as most homes here in China are quite small with low ceilings so we had to be a little creative in shooting these.

Here is the first I had little or no room to setup lights in this home so I just have a single ocf through a softbox that is being handheld by my wife close to the family.

1. I was standing in a window on the other side of a dining room table for this shot.

2. I tried some black and white as well I would love to know what you all think of these.

3. We then moved to the living room floor and tried to get a decent shot really struggled with background.

4. Tried to get them to lighten up the atmosphere a little bit.

Went to another families home and it was even smaller. I decided to try and get rid of distracting backgrounds and such by putting up a black background from my bag. Then throwing a red gel on it.

1. The whole family

I tried it on white but was not quite as pleased

Also took a few candids

This was a lot more challenging then I thought it was going to be but both families were extremely pleased.

WB looks off. #1 looks OOF on 3 of the four people. #3 looks good except for WB.

#1B looks nice, but the WB still looks odd ? 2B looks like the BG was way too hot and the WB.

BOS are #3 and 1B
