For me, the colors work, but the DOF is too narrow. I would like to see all of the limb in focus.


Digital killed the Kodachrome star!

Agree about the DOF, also, I think I would have selected a few blooms, not the entire branch? Gorgeous colors.

I think a lighter, less saturated sky would set off the subject to better advantage. The red channel is clipped in the red blossoms.

I kinda like the saturated sky better :). The shot was taken at midday and consequently the sun was very bright. @Flo & Ors, I know I should have shot with greater DoF but mistakes do happen :(. I kept the shot because of the contrast produced between the red flowers and the blue sky.
