Thanks.

The 70-200 2.8 IS II would round out your set nicely. But I'm not certain you need it for paris.

I'd take the 24-105 and call it good.

Maybe we need to know what you will shoot in Paris. Closeups of people or art, expansive landscapes or urbanscapes, or somewhere in between?

For walking around on the streets it would be hard to beat the 24-105. For more distant shoots the 70-200 f2.8 IS is hard to beat. And for really wide work, there is the 17-40.

I think you will do fine with the 16-35 f/2.8 and the 24-104 f/4. In my view (I have been in Paris and other places in France) you have all the right equipment. Enjoy your trip.

+1, that is a nice combo for Paris, Rome, London, Tulsa, etc etc.

Been there last Dec,believe me,you would need wide angle or a mid range zoom lens,i've used Tokina 11-16 40% and Tammy 17-50mm 60%....my 55-250 just sit on my bag the whole time.....

I think you'd be fine with 24-105 for most of the stuff. Might be a bit challenging for low light stuff like inside a church or something but the IS should be fine since 5DII has pretty clean high ISO.

If you think you need the wide angle stuff bring along the 16-35. Else leave it at home so you don't have to carry too much stuff.

Take the 24-105 and the 16-35, in that order depending on how much you want to carry. The 24-105 is perfect for Paris.

Paris has a lot to shoot and you should choose your gear depending on what you want to shoot. I like to travel with 24-105 (walkaround) + 35L (environmental portraits). I often bring the 135 for when head/shoulder and more distant portraits or candids...

but 24mm may not be wide enough for you...

I had a bag full of primes with me (the ones above in my signature) but in practice I only used the 28-70 f2.8L.
I had better left compact with a holsterbag instead of dragging all that weight for nothing :)

Honestly, I'd just bring your two zooms. That should cover almost anything.

I took my 24-70 and 70-200; both were great but I wish I had something a bit wider for the top of the Eiffel Tower.

I would want to bring 16-35/2.8 with 135L for a 'photography trip' in Paris.
16-35 for cityscapes and architectural things and 135L for some nice detailes/abstracts of Paris and for the candids as well.

24-105 is a nice lens for cover everything but it sounds a litte touristic, to be honest.
