She is just adorable and this is a great shot, even if captured by accident. I love how the background tones in with her skirt. Your PP is also great.

Congratulations on surviving the 1st year! I always say that the first birthday party should be a celebration for the parents more so than the child. And get ready for a very busy year 2 where you will feel like you will never get to sit down again.

And I agree! It's been quite a year and I can't even imagine what year 2 is like. Although I can already tell it will be a tiring one...she's an energetic little lady!

I will admit, the crop is a bit funky .. but I think it works in this scenario. Your lighting and focus couldn't be any better. And the skin tones are perfect. Well done.

Thank you!! Yeah, I knew the crop was not ideal, but loved the expression too much. I've been working hard on lighting/focus/PP, etc. so that is so nice to hear!!

It is the crop that is so perfect to me, I love that she is sneaking in to the shot. Her eyes are perfect, the colors great, the composition so unexpected, definitely a winner! She's sneaking in the side...it's great! I apparently need to post some more of her since it has been awhile...
