The lens in the setup photo is standing while the lens in the result photo is laying on it's side. How can this be

Dah...What difference could that possibly make?

I shoot televised boxing at the Chumash Casino Resort. I often put a camera in the lighting truss over the ring. At the end of the night the Ring Girls usually get in the ring and pose with patrons. I am friends with their manager (and have shot these five in my studio in the past) who is the guy to my right in the setup picture with the grey/grey shirt and long hair. The guy in the white shirt posing with the girls is Lateef Kayode, a current cruiserweight contender, originally from Nigeria, and an extremely nice guy who actually did a fashion modeling shoot in that ring a few months ago for Chumash! magazine.

I guess one could claim that the setup picture should be of the lighting truss camera but the camera that took the picture is in my right hand in the BTS picture ... and I didn't have time to get a BTS of the lighting truss camera although it would have been neat to have BTS of the BTS setup!

So, the setup picture:

And the result:
IMAGE: http://dwightmccann.com/Images/BTS/fullsize/ESPNBoxing40.jpg

Here's an image that has three of the five girls in the above picture plus me from a studio shoot:

Hope this is OK for this thread. EXIF is intact for all images.

I set up right next to the fridge at home. Reflections sure are annoying on glass bottles. I don't own any softboxes so I had to put up this PLM and drape some 99-cent store curtain liner over it. I had wider shots and some shots with beer poured into glasses but these were the two the client liked most.

WELCOME to the board 24stang! REFRESHING photo shoot you had there :)

But then you'd never have seen it, unless you meant something like this:

Or maybe you would prefer something like this:

I'm sure the guy with the beard isn't happy being left out of the shots...

QUOTED IMAGE

Is it my monitor or is her dress blown out? Loss of a ton of detail in the dress. But those two flashes sure did fill a lot of light.
