QUOTED IMAGE

How did you get it to pose like that?

Is there an agency you use?

Awsome! Really awsome! How did you get the black backdrop?
Is that an EF 100mm f/2.8 USM Macro?

Yes, Canon 100mm f/2.8 macro plus a full set of kenko tubes. If you use high speed flash sync(1/250th) the backgrounds are usually dark.

Do you own the 100L macro or the standard 100 macro lens?

It was a pain in the butt trying to get the exposures for this without people in the shot. :)

Very nice. Did you remove the people with multiple images and photoshop or did you have to wait for the "magic moment"?

No people removing. Just kept trying since they seemed to come in waves. The 20 sec exposure always seemed to have someone come out the doors right at the end which caused ghosting and I didn't want to have to do the processing work to fix it.

This is the main entrance to the Venetian hotel in Vegas

It's the original 100mm f/2.8 macro. Not the L lens.

Thank you. I am impressed with the tack sharp picture you got with it. I am now considering getting that lens!

Just have to save my nickels and penneys!!!

Doesn't have to be an L to be sharp! ;)

So true; I love my 100 2.8 and my 50mm 1.4. Both are tack sharp and neither is an L lens. I think both would compare favorably with my (ex) 70-200 and 17-40, both of which were L lens.

Well... you're comparing zooms to primes. :) That, by itself, is not a good starting point to compare sharpness! :D
