^^^^^ Vinny Viper - you may want to have a go at the dancing liquid like on that chaps computer subwoofer...... with your stack that would be out of this world......or vapourised!

Could maybe redecorate the studio that way :-)
All the very best.
Vinny.

And what a day job it is!
Just spent the last hour listening to your work and watching videos (Old and New!)
Awesome!!! bw!

Thank you  :)
Getting old now so I tend to do more in my studio these days. Got into the photos to get me out of there for some fresh air every now and then and just to do something different.
Loving my 5d2 :D
All the very best.
Vinny.

Very, very nice robkinis. Simple set up and great shot but why does it take two of you? I see your partner looking on.

He is always interested in my work, but he doesn't like to pose.

Now that is cool, very creative. What stands are those?, surprised they can hold up two electrics.

The stands are Pearl BC2000 from my studio drum kit. They are very heavy duty. They did go over twice though with guitar and bass attached. It was when I was putting the final piece of fishing line round the Flying V headstock and the guitar pulled one of the stands over and both guitar and bass hit the floor with the stand landing on top.
Left the Thunderbird bass with a but of a gouge on the back of the neck. Fortunately, the V just got a bit of a scuff on one of the inner V parts. There were less than 25 V's ever made in that colour (Cherry Sunburst, and all made in 1981) and Gibson don't make Thunderbird's in black anymore.
Was good to do though.
Thanks for looking.
All the very best.
Vinny.

Ouch, I wouldn't have even tried that with something so rare.

I have had the idea for the shot for ages and this was the only way I could think of doing it without faking it in photoshop and that would not have been as satisfying. In the end, I had to bite the bullet :-) After they toppled over twice, I weighted the legs on the stands so they could go nowhere while I was setting up. It was all a good learning experience.
Would have been better with a black Gibson Explorer instead of the Thunderbird. If I get one, I may be temped to do it all again haha.
All the very best.
Vinny.

Are those guitars doing what I think they are doing? If so, you may want to take it to the 'Glamour & Nude' section.

:P
