Anders, can we get a close up photo of the StopShot sensors and your drip system?

Anders, Great! Can you tell us about the drip tube ... looks pretty complex with wires.

Not too complex really, it's just a twelve volt power cable to the valve that releases water drops.
The other cable is for the photo cell.

You program the control unit so there's a manual push on a button to start a sequence; it first releases two drops of water with a delay between the drops, the first drop passing the sensor triggers the second step in the sequence which is a delay followed by triggering the flashes.

The drip tube has a stopper on top with a small tube through it, I understand this is to get a constant water pressure and consistant drops.

Anders, so the drip tube is an accessory sold by the StopShot people and controlled by the device? [I'm not particularly mechanically minded so it's not obvious to me.]

Yes, you can get a kit with the tube, the controller, the sensor and some cables. All you need is a credit card. :)

I have added the long glass "aquarium" to get a nicer background at low camera angles, to avoid getting the back edge of the tray in the shot, and I made the overhead mounting bar (there is a short one in the kit).

Anders, as awesome as your shots turned out with the StopShot, but the $400.00 pirce tag on the setup will hold me back. GOD DAMN $400.00!!!

Dwight it is already pre wired, looks like a simple plug and play setup to me.

I looked at it Sevan, but didn't study it. I love the pictures Anders got.

S.E.V, sure it's a bit expensive, but compared to the amount spent on photography overall I don't think it's that much ... and what price to set on having fun? Also, I wouldn't buy it for drop shots alone, I hope to use it for remote cameras in wildlife photography and possibly also sports this coming spring and summer. If the thread is still alive maybe I'll be able to share some other type of shot. :)

This is a very interesting thread. It shows folks creativity. I like it. Although not as creative as some, it took time, patience and luck and I must say some skill.

Nice ones, Al!

Have you been getting good use with the Better Beamer for birds?

Yes, I would like to know also, I haven't seen great outcomes from mine, although I "think" my ocf cord may be faulty...

and what gimbal is that? I like the "lock/unlock" feature i see there.
