Thanks Idea P. Just to clarify on question 3. 1cm for 6 seconds of finished film?.... so 1cm for 180 shots? Now that's a lot of shots!

How do you piece them all together? I video edit and all I can think of is placing each shot on the time line which would take ages..... or do you have a specific program?

1cm - 6sec(with 2sec interval between shots) = 3 Frames per 1cm. ;)

Thanks. Post some more when you've done them..... Home made stuff is just the best - especially when it is as professionally done as yours.

pffff.... what you need to do is take some pictures of batteries lined up, then post "is my 1DX sharp". It's the first thing anyone should do with new gear;)

LMAO!!!

Just had to post this.

I just discovered this thread and it is inspiring me a LOT. Currently my office is cluttered like a hoarder's home (just moved into a new apartment with my wife). But in the next week, I hope to emulate some of the set up I've seen so far in this thread.

I fully intend to read through ALL 329 pages of this thread! Currently on page 25. Awesome pictures, everyone! I will subscribe once I've caught up.

LOL...with the activity in this thread, you may NEVER be 'caught up.' Seriously though, welcome to the thread. We look forward to seeing your setups and resulting photos.

Yeah, I'm not reading every single words in the thread. I'm more focusing on the images and subsequent discussions. Not the discussions like trying to find the flag on the moon early in the thread

Thanks for the welcome!

Shot my bike last night. No photo of the setup, as it's just camera on tripod, in the dark.

I shot this in the dark of night, 15 second exposure, walking around the bike triggering my 430EXii through a diffusing disc. One flash each front and back, about 2 feet above the ground, and one shot over the front of the bike, about 7 feet up.

Then I messed up the shot of my oldest son's new bike (didn't catch it when chimping). I guess you can see part of the setup on the left there :)

Kinda defeats the purpose of the thread, no? ;)

Sorry, it was a dynamic setup, but the description should allow someone to experiment with something similar.

Actually, I could probably try this again with my T2i set up behind the other camera set wide... there'd be three of me though... hmm

As above really, the whole point is to see the setup and the finish, now go practice and come back again :p

To be honest... those onions and tomatoes on the back really "break" the photo.
IMHO, had you taken them off, you'd end up with a much more powerful photo.

My €0,02...

Actually, IMHO, the tomato, onion and herbs holds the image together!.. also my 2 pence worth (I live in the UK )

Your 2 pennies are worth a tad more than his 2 cents (I think that's the Euro currency), same goes for American cents.
