I've got to admit it does seem like an awful lot of gear/effort for a very abstract shot. I could sort of understand it if it captured the depth as if you looking into some sort of weird pink cave (oo-err missus) but the shallow dof just makes it look mainly out of focus.

Maybe we're just not bright enough to "get it" :D

Looks good! I would back off the blue in the sky though...looks pretty unnatural.

Yea....I was thinking the exact same thing earlier, the image looks awesome all around....except for the sky. The eye just snaps to that because of how much it just doesn't seem to fit in.

Other than the sky, I absolutely love the image

I want to thank you guys for putting some of these set ups for product photography. I received a phone call today by a woman who had seen a photo session I did for an infant and wondered if I could do some product photos for her. This will be my first official paid product photo job if I get hired. I'm Not sure how to approach It yet money wise due to the fact that I deal more with people shots then still life. I have done this before in my own time but I've been liking some of the results some of you are getting with your set ups. This has given me a general idea on what I need to do. I asked her to send me some sample photos of what we will be photographing I will view them tonight to see what the size of the product is and see what I need to invest in in order to make this right. I'll figure out the money issue with my wife tonight. I'll post if this job goes thorough.. Just want to say thx to you all..
