I was driving down the road, figured I'd do a cliche sunset here in BFE where I live.

Dusty moo cows and some golden hour sun blast.

The setup:

Junk 650D with a 35mm F2 IS, and some Hitech filters (3 stop ND, and 3 stop graduated soft edge ND) on a cheap tripod by Dolcia and a 3rd party ballhead by Fancier.

And the shot, 35mm, 1/40s, F11, ISO 100.

Bulb mode: Press the shutter button once to start exposure, go have a smoke, come back and press shutter button again to stop exposure.

So i pick up this vintage looking chair for $25 off a yard sale since i have some photo sessions coming up with 2 models soon and was craving a red chair. My brother says "Man! it would look sick if you do like a Morpheus look pic, the chair looks like one in the movie, when Morpheus and Neo meet for the first time" Of course you know who Morpheus is form the movie The Matrix. So why not.. i suited up, had my son help me hold the hair light camera right with DIY flash bender, another light on a stand camera left also with DIY flash bender both YN560's, 550d on a tripod, 50mm f1.8 and click took a few shots.

The DIY flash bender is simple the yn560 sock that it brings wrapped around the flash head held in place by a hair band for a more concentrated direction of light

Here is the chair i scored

I still have data on the original raw to bring a hint of the chair out but I chose to darken it by boosting black on the selective colors. That's why the darkest parts of the chair blends to the background.

This was just a test. I was exited of owing this chair
I'll be doing this again in the creepy basement soon which has a better background
Thx for the critique

I do hope you were just "excited" about owning the chair..
as opposed to exited. Which could have been a brutal removal of yourself from the chair by evil beings.

.. ;)

Nicely executed image.

Nicely done Isaac - and nice score on the chair! Be sure to post up the shots with the models using the chair at some point too!
