Testing of making my own ring light. Shot only using a $7 fluorescent light bulb. Hand held it and shot through the center.

Picked up an aquarium when I was getting some puppy food the other day just to play around a little. Wanted to replicate some shots I have seen. Need to tweak the setup a little since I had to do some touch up. Obviously the ones with the white background I used a white board and not black.

Yeah I though that was cool, might have to do a comparison deal with different balls. At least I know what my shanks look like on entry now. :D

Some of the work here is so inspiring.

I'm looking forward to using some of the information learned to help improve my photography. 8)

Very cool shots! I think you should try catching yourself dunking your head. It could be an epic shot! ;-)a

I was actually thinking about it. Aquarium is a little small but my noggin just might fit......maybe I can talk my wife into it. LOL

She did say I couldn't drop the dogs in it (definitely a tight fit) :D

The light is just a 16" daylight balanced circline fluorescent bulb I purchased from Menards. The background consists of a pvc frame and I have regular and led icicle light wrapped around it.
