Yes, The light wouldn't spill everywhere as much as umbrella. And a gridded octa would be even more controlled.

Mar 21, 2016 07:24 | #9635 You could also use a lower power level with an octa as all* of the light going sideways, like straight at the camera, would be reflected towards the subject. Longer battery, faster recharge. I come here for your expert opinion. Please do not hesitate to critique or edit.
