Is that just a normal cooler? Cool! (See what I did there?):D

Actually, it's a cooler that was sent from Omaha Steaks as a Christmas gift. I can't find a decent larger cooler anywhere.
If anyone has any ideas...

I have a large Coleman cooler. But I converted it into a mash tun for brewing beer. :o

For a similar white box you can just buy a few white foamcore boards and hot glue or tape them together. Usually the exposure is usually such that you don't even see the seams, but some white tape over them works wonders, too.

QUOTED IMAGE

What kind of tripod is that? I've got a walmart tripod and it's time to move up and I think that's what I'm looking for. Those adjusters on top allow for micro movement?

You on about the long stick things? Those are part of the head which is seperate from the legs, it's what's known as a pan and tilt head as they're both controlled separately by each stick. They're generally not that brilliant for photography as it's slow to get the positioning right so most people go for ballheads.

If you want a decent but cheap tripod look at the Giottos and Manfrotto tripods around the £100 mark (MTL 9361B from Giottos and 055XPROB from Manfrotto) and the Manfrotto ballheads with quick release plates for around £30.

Exactly what the ran said. The controls on top are ment for video and do not work well for photography. The tripod is a Slik 500HD http://www.adorama.com/SLP500HD.html (external link)
its a verynice tripod but im looking to upgrade to a gitzo or manfrotto

My wife works at an Animal Hospital and they receive medicines, vaccinatiosn, etc.. in coolers that large or larger. You might want to check out a local AH in your area. If not, maybe there's a market to sell these coolers to photographers?

Thank you!

The key was my Mola Setti camera left (as seen in the shot) and camera right there was a 32" shoot through umbrella at a distance to provide some fill and maintain details in the shadows.. I think the light was metering around 1 stop less than the key or maybe a bit less.

Living room "studio" and my daughter...

Key light was small 10" reflector with diffusion fabric, gridded strip boxes for rim light, EL Octa for on axis fill behind me, gridded blue gel speedlight onto white foamcore for background.

And the result...

I just went through all 75 pages of this thread and I'm blown away and inspired by what some of you photographers are cable of doing, so creative, so unique...threads like these are extremely inspiring...not to mention my wallet shutters a little as I got along way to go and lots of equipment to accumulate.
