I have the same remote... but for my 7d... it's a great remote... no off button though... so to save battery life, i have a little piece of paper I put between the end of the battery and the contact between uses.. otherwise, the display stays on.

Thanks everyone for the links and tips. I did find the one with the right connector and just ordered it. Should be fun.

I've been following your work for a while now, great stuff from the Gorge.

Curious how this remote worked out for you......

I found this unit (external link) a while back and bought one for my 7D. It seems to work well but was a bit more than the ones posted here. I like the idea of AAA batteries.
