First shot? Would have been a delete for me unless you just had to have a pic of that girl and thats all you had, even for a stock shot you'd want her more looking at you, some action/movement and the ball in the pic at least.

Second is better, shows some action, may have cropped it a bit different, but thats just me.
Good exposure and color balance seems decent for probably what was a bit of a dungeon to shoot in.

Just my 2c...but I really dont know much about this stuff so take it for what its worth..

Bill, thanks for the comments. I agree if I was an editor the first shot wouldn't interest me. It is an example of what, at least in my area, is a very saleable print. Parents seem to love these shots of their "star". That makes it a keeper for me...sales are what keeps me headed toward my equipment goals.
