I will be coming up to Minneapolis, specifically Bloomington, at the end of this week for about a week and was wondering if anyone can tell me what/where are some good places to get some pics at.

Not sure how much time I will have available as this is a business trip. Also, no access to a car, so public transportation is all I will have. So any and all suggestions are appreciated.

Make sure to take a look at the ins and outs of taking photos of snow. :)

If you're in Bloomington - you're close to the end of the only light-rail transit line in the metro area - the Hiawatha Line. It goes from the Mall of America in Bloomington to downtown Minneapolis. Your best opportunity for photos using only public transit are probably in the downtown Minneapolis Mississippi river front area. There is the Stone Arch bridge over the river and the old flour milling district in that area. There is old architecture and new architecture all along the river front. As was commented before - make sure that you adjust for snow exposure and also have a plastic bag in your kit so you don't bring a cold camera back indoors where the humidity would be high enough to give you condensation inside the lenses. Good luck.
