Yellowstone Elk

In Yellowstone last week. I caught this doe elk keeping an eye on me and wondering what it was I was doing. 1D Mk II N + Sigma 100-300 f/4.

Great shot.... I have one almost exactly like it that I took last May in a snowstorm :)

Nice shot, I grew up in Montana and miss the photo opportunities.
One thing though, that's a cow elk, a doe would be a deer.
I'd love to see more of your images from Yellowstone.

Doc ............technicall​y Elk are Deer also. You are correct that is a cow elk however. It is good to learn the correct titles as it helps others to learn as well. No offense to anyone intended.
