Wonder why new guys are reluctant to post their work here, take a look at the last few posts.
Sheesh.

Maybe a translation will make it clear. Just a couple "quick shots". "I couldn't be bothered to move her one step to the side so that a pole wasn't growing out of her head."
C&C welcome! "So take your time to tell me that, & BTW, is her face too green & overexposed?"

As to Chippy569's entry, a cute "baby", whether it's a human or a car, does not necessarily automatically make for an exceptional image. Take the time to wipe the drool off it's chin & get it away from that overhead 100wt bulb.

FrankC - 20D, RAW, Manual everything...
Classic Carz, Racing, Air Show, Flowers.
Find the light... A few Car Lighting Tips, and MOVE YOUR FEET!
Have you thought about making your own book? // Need an exposure crutch?
New Image Size Limits: Image must not exceed 1600 pixels on any side.

This man speaks truths

Makes more sense now.

I just keep glancing at this thread and see a lot of posts that would scare me away from posting my images here and having meaningful discourse for fear of looking silly or pissing someone off because it's overused. That's all I'm saying. Slippery slope.

Don't worry too much about what has been said in this thread. It's unlikely that anyone will change what they say here because of this thread. I'm sure "creamy bokeh" is here to stay no matter how I and others here feel about it. As you can see almost everything has someone ticked off, don't let that bother you.

We haven't touched some of the classics yet, show me your boxes, how much do I charge, brown truck. The answer for me is to just ignore them and go on. There are plenty of interesting things to read here, and a lot to learn.

From the Buy/Sell section:

"Had a filter on it since day one" - which to me translates as complete and utter BS and even if so, who cares. It's not something that I can use. Either the lens is in good shape or it's not. The fact that you say there's been a filter on it, does nothing. Besides, unless you're including the filter, I really don't care.

"LNIB or BNIB" - Ok, but then they proceed to list the condition as 9.5 out of 10, or they've owned the lens for 2 years... yeah, that's just like new in the box, isn't it?
