Interesting comments. All I did was leave the camera on a tripod with a cable release and take multiple shots and then combine a few shots using layer masks. The fireworks came from behind the building quite a distance. The photo makes them appear much closer than they really were. I did not paint anything in. Just combined shots with masks.
