First settlement on the Oregon Trail near Twin Falls, Idaho - 1865 is when this store was built. A major Stage Stop before heading on to Oregon.. Behind the store is a cellar - held goods, liquor, a temp Jail, as well as protection from Indians....
I would love to go back 150 years and just take a glimpse of what that life held for those folks back then.. BTW - standing at some signs, you can still see the tracks from the wagons that traveled on the Oregon Trail - still clear and visible - and you just have to wonder .... just how was it back then ??
