I got into photography about a year ago. My problem is finding subjects to take pictures of. I live in a city, Daegu, South Korea, so I know I should have LOTS of subjects but I believe living here has stunt my imigination as I see everything everyday daily. So those with more experience and imgination please give me some ideas! I've tried people; though Koreans have no sense of personal space, they are VERY reluctant to be in a picture. I've had people stop 20' away while I was taking a picture... My girlfriend is trying to find a roof uphigh so I can do some city scapes, and maybe try some long expsoure shots.

Thanks in advance.

You might be over thinking the whole thing. Try going out and just taking pictures of whatever you can. Don't just think about interesting subjects, but photographing things in a compositionally interesting way. It doesn't always have to be big things like buildings or people... it can be a small thing like a flower growing out of a crack in the sidewalk. Maybe it's the way a light is coming through a window and hitting something.

The great thing about photography is that it's completely subjective

I'm about a 3 hour train ride from seoul, roughly 80 dollars round trip. Not practical at my paygrade. Good points mike, I'll keep it in mind next time I step out.

I like alleys and dark streets for contrast.
