Shot this guy/gal outside of San jose, CA. RTH? Lots of Red Shouldered Hawks, but no good images. Thanks for looking.

The first shot really brings out the ferocity of the RTH
I recently had one do a fly by of my bird feeder, it really is quite large up close

That's funny, opposite reaction for me, it is stretching, hawk style, so to me it is a more tender moment, sweet and cute.

Your ID is correct, Chris. It's a juvenile RTH. Good catch. Juvies tend to be more tolerant of people which is good for us. I like both poses, but in particular the first.

Thanks everybody! He was extremely tolerant and like Tom said was only stretching. When it finally left, of course it flew away from me.
