I like the re edit. Do a mild skin retouch and it would be perfect. The power lines arent that bad really.

I think the texture is cool, I would suggest to use a layer mask and feather the texture off the model and use it on the rest of the image. Kind of like this,

IMAGE NOT FOUND
HTTP response: 404 | MIME changed to 'text/html' | Byte size: ZERO

not to say my work is better, it is just my opinion. I just think textures on the actual model can take away from the beauty. Example, like me "Trapped", In my kits dried up sandbox, LOL
IMAGE NOT FOUND
HTTP response: 404 | MIME changed to 'text/html' | Byte size: ZERO

BTW I think you too have allot of talent. I am in no way saying in any way your images are bad in any way. I just give you the same honest and sincere feedback.

A note on image posting, the reason you wont see much of my work floating around the forums and the web is I print out all of my good stuff and keep it in a Huge Portfolio. I show clients (the small group I have) my work as a finished piece. I dont have to watermark it, I dont have to worry about copyright issues, I can just be FTF with a client and if they like, I get to work.

Lastly it is fun to throw up some of my images I play around with here in the forums. When my wife finishes school. I will be able to shoot full time, and I will open my Own Multi Media Studio. For now photography is supplementary income. I love photography, but it is just one part of my media creation talents. I love to create motion graphics and animations, web content, but collaboration with other artists is where I get excited.

One day you guys will see what I can really do. For now I am waiting in the wings grinding every day. I cant wait to have my own studio, then I can fully express myself without limits. Until then I will be hangin with you guys just messing around!

How about some PP texture stuf... This was my first time trying a texture to give a more vintage feel to the photo...

Hey look at this 5' foot octabank (external link) for for under $200, That zipper is a great idea. I have not owned any flashpoint gear, but the price is right. Westcott wants Big big $$$ for large octa's so does Photoflex. I thought I would share this with some of the guys building a studio kit.

Tom what about the Pro Studios stuff... I love my strip box and grid setup from them... Also cost under 200.00 with the grid.. Under a 100.00 with out a grid.

A strip bank is way different than a 5 foot Octa. I was referring to a Large light source, comparing a strip box with a 5 foot Octa is like trying to compare a dinner napkin on a Cereal box to a Bed sheet over a Bay Window.:p

Price an Octa bank, tell me what the cheapest you can find for 5' Pro Octa bank not a flea bay one. But one made by what is used in the industry, A Westy, or Photoflex.

Also what Pro strip boxes do you use? I dont know any that come with a grid for $200. Heck the grids on a Westy are $200 alone, this is why I dont own them. the price is retarted for what you get IMO.

Westcott 5 ft. Octabank
Style: 3662
Retail: $463.50 no speed ring

Photoflex Medium 5 foot OctoDome
SKU: FV-MOD5
MSRP: $524.95
No speed ring

Octa banks Like the 7" foot ones are $800 or so. It is perfect window light. Want to be an expert with Lighting use a 7 foot octa.

I didnt see what Pro strip boxes you use? I love strips. I dont own any. I just use some bungie cords around my soft boxes to make a narrow slit, it works the same. As to the grids I have them for my Small, Med and Large Q-domes. Speedotron boxes as well. My Apollos dont offer a grid but they are ulta portable so I like them.

I haven't got to use my 86" PLM yet, I hear it is a nice soft light, we will soon see. Last thing. If my wife said I can only keep one modifier it would be the 60" convertible umbrella. It will do most everything, even control spill and act like a softbox! For $29 bucks the Impact 60" convertible is hard to beat (external link) If you can get one, Always in Back Order.

The last modifiers I want to get are as follows
2 12×50″ Westcott Stripboxes w/ grids. Grid alone is $288 (external link) at B&H the strip is $196 (external link) that is $484 for a single strip bank, I need to. And I dont want Visco, Knova, or Some stuff like that I want to buy them one time, you know what I mean right? So I do without for now.
1 22″ Speedo Beauty dish with sock and 30º grid
1 7′ Westcott 7′ Octabank and I will have everything as far as modifiers. I will only need one or more Speeo Blackline packs. Maybe another 805 or 1205 and a 405. I have all the heads I could ever use!
