Haha.. I like it, I just think the blacks is a bit too dark, especially around his eyes. I also dont know if it just me, but the focus seems to be on his nose and not on the eyes?

I would try blowing out the highlights a little to lose the detail between the paws and face. That would remove some of the distracting elements like the cloth and leave just some paws and a face. This photo is interesting in that the paws are off to the side of the face.

Lovely picture regardless!

If I was out shopping for prints and came upon that, it would be hanging up in my house right now :D Really beautiful (and I love dogs)

Agree with Albertoman....would be much better if the eyes were defined more.....lost in the blacks.
Should be an easy fix in processing.
I like the composition/pose

This is what I have come up with on the edit. I can probably remove more of the background but I didnt want it to look too much like it was taken at a studio :)

The edit is far better - perhaps the paws area is a little to bright. The face/eyes is far better.

The edit to me looks like it is blown now..losing details in the whites.all you need to do is GND, and dodge the eyes...really nice capture.

Nice edits on the eye detail. However, I can't help wanting to see some eye colour.

Looks nice overall, I think there's a bit too much dead space on the right side.

Aside from cropping out a small bit of the blanket, you would end up with a head..?
