Spinifex Pigeon & Rufous Whistler

This Spinifex Pigeon is only found in the top northern coastal part of Western Australia, the interior of Northern Territory,Queensland and also in the northern extremes of South Australia. There is another race simular to this bird found on the wetern coast of Western Australia with a red belly.

This is the female Rufous whistler and can be found in most all of this country. They are the most wonderful song bird of Australia, also known as the Thunderbird as it will break into song instantly at the sound of a clap of thunder. The female of this species is just as good as the male when it comes to song.

Great Peter, would love to see more of your shots. If you end up down south around my way and wanted to go shooting we could meet up if you wanted to see/goto some of the local spots I shoot (depending on the weather, looking like a bit of rain maybe but that can always change). Or if you prefer not too but would like to know some of the spots I could let you know.
