Hello,

I'm doing research on polarizer filters and I would like to read from the people here about which one is good and not to expensive... (up to $125 or $150).

Which one you guys recommend?

It would be to use it with my Canon 24-105mm... Also, which other filter would you recommend for landscape photography?

Thanks

125 to 150? You are very close to quality vs pricing. If you have to go a bit over the $150 limit do so. I also have the 24-105 and use a B+W polarizer.

Look at it this way. The EF 24-105mm F/4L IS USM is a $1059 lens (B&H). Do you really want to stick a cheap filter on the front of it and throw away everything that makes it an "L"?

All it takes is one piece of crap glass anywhere in the light path to produce crap pix.

One of the B&W Multi-coated filters should work out well for you. That's what I use on all of my lenses. Does the 24-105 use a 77mm thread size? If so, I'm thinking you could pick one up for around $150 or less if you shop around. I've always been a B&W fan, but also check out Hoya's multi-coated filters. They're also very good quality.

As for your second question, a couple of graduated neutral density filters will help out quite a bit.

cokin has been fine for me. 77mm holder fits most of the L zooms, goes on and off quickly and adjusts easily, and if you leave the filter in the cokin holder and take the holder on and off, the filter is somewhat protected as opposed to being just a flat filter needing a box. I should know, I dropped mine last week and it actually bounced off the cement unharmed.

Get this. Great lens needs a great filter, plus 77 is a common filter size. You can get step down rings for smaller lens diameters.
