Can't vote for more than one type - I read a lot of things. Right now I am going through the mystery section of the local library. I went through a science fiction stage for many years until it all became fantasy and wizards. But I also do a lot of reading on subjects that attract my interest, wherever that may lead. Everyone in my family were pretty voracious readers.

I read a ton of everything in high-school. Somewhere in college I lost the passion for it, somehow. Maybe it was all that required reading I had to do for classes. These days all I read are internet forum threads with people bickering about pieces of camera equipment :)

Bickering? ???

I think it is called enlightened discussion these days!:lol:

I'm a reader, always have been.. I'd read anything from fiction to technical.. I even take a quick peek at my wife's trash magazines (as she calls them).. I sometimes have two or three books going on the trot..

I used to be a huge science fantasy reader.. Philip Jose Farmer, "The World of the Tiers" trilogy and "The Fabulous Riverboat" series, great reads.. Also Stepen Donaldson's "The Chronicals of Thomas Covenant, the Unbeliever" series.. I read "The Hobbit" at 12 years old..

Non-fiction I also love.. I recently read "Gengis Khan" by John Man (what a nasty bastard he was) and "The Dragon in the Land of Snows" by Tsering Sharkya about Tibet from 1947..

At the moment I'm reading "Letters From Burma" - Aung San Suu Kyi's story..

I bounce back and forth between fiction and non-fiction. Right now I'm going through Ronald Syme's "The Roman Revolution" as a follow-up to Tom Holland's "Rubicon" (which is a great read for those interested in the final years of the Roman Republic). Next in line is probably Jim Butcher's "First Lord's Fury," the conclusion to his excellent Codex Alera fantasy series. I have about a 50 minute commute to work on a local train, so get lots of reading in.

So is that one fiction or non-fiction? ;)

I love reading. Sometimes I enjoy reading technical stuff. Right now, I'm reading my way through a 50D guide book. I'm also going to start reading Chronicles of Narnia, a series I loved as a child.

My Dad would not allow a TV in the house. I am so glad. I read. And I read fast. I can finish a novel on a plane trip. I have a Nook and I spend lots on books. I have over 1,000 books on the Nook right now. Some novels, some technical, some fiction, some non-fiction. I love to read. Can't vote as I have too many interests.
