Portrait CC please

Any opinions on the pose/framing/lighting? Using bounced flash for #1, and for #2 I used a 43" umbrella and a bare strobe behind and right for hair light

I like the poses and lighting. The focus seems too soft to me making the portraits seem a bit flat. DOF also seems too shallow on #1.

Anyone else have any other thoughts?

I think the pose in #1 would be better if she tilts her head to her right and slightly away from camera so it's not such a flat straight-on shot (better for men possibly). Facial light is very flat in this one and might be better with some cross lighting to create some depth.
#2 Is a better pose but the large brightly lit right cheek is a bit strong. It would have been nice if some of her lovely hair were arranged forward to mask that area; but maybe just toning it down a bit would help.
