We needed some shots for some ads and stuff at work, so I took a brand new XJ out for a spin and to model for me. C&C always appreciated. Thanks for looking.

good shots! i would maybe up the levels and contrast a little in 1 and 2 so that the car pops off the background a little bit. maybe some minor curves too.

Nice shots. I like the 2nd 2 better, as the yellow curb in the first 2 pictures distracts me from the car. 4th one is my favorite tho. Just wish i could take a test drive in one of those!

I don't think it looks as good as the XF

I like #4 for the main reason that the DOF is on point. I would have made sure the whole car was in focus though (back is OOF) Good job though. And I actually dig the car too. :)

No offense to anyone here, but I've yet to read a professional review on the XJ that says it's ugly... let alone ugly to the extent that you all are asserting... Pretty much everyone agrees that it's a very attractive looking vehicle.

Anyway, back to the topic, which is C&C on my photos.

Suggestion is using an external flash into an umbrella or reflector when taking pics into the sun on the shadow side. #4 is good - decent background and 3/4 shot of car.

That's good advice. I've tried bare flashes, with not much success. I think my next investment will be in lighting equipment.

I think the car is pretty - but not different enough from a Camry to separate Jaguar from other luxury vehicles. It's reliability reputation would put off many from buying the brand, so they need a revolutionary shape, IMHO.
