2011 Jaguar XJ in white

If you want to cheat on the lighting... use a flash aimed at a white sheet on the ground. Not the best but works for simple shots and less to carry around.

where would you place the light and the white sheet?

#s 3 & 4 look the best to me. But for a really nice shot, I'd rather see highlights in the side, too. Look at the white car links: Post #52:

Place the white sheet on the ground (out of picture but as close to subject as possible).... The flash depends: External mounted - anywhere pointed at sheet and ajust power as needed; On Board Flash such as 580 etc. - Poin at best towards sheet with swivel and perhaps take picture further up so you will not only get a 3/4 shot but also more of the hood/top of subject. Otherwise just try and see
