Whattya think of this CL ad?

This looks odd to me: "Canon EF 70-200mm 1:2.8 L Ultrasonic Zoom Lens"

Also seems odd that all "II"s are "11"s.

Seem like how someone with no clue about what they were selling would maybe write this up this way. Could be that someone inherited this kit or something, but it strikes me as fishy, especially with the missing battery charger. Pics are also crappy, maybe not for CL, but someone who would own that camera would presumably at least have some sense for composition.

I'm not interested in buying, but just curious if anyone else thinks this odd, or if I am just paranoid?

really?! a mark IV and 70-200 f/2.8 lens and you're giving them the benefit of the doubt saying they have no clue what they're selling?? i'd say scam...

The price would seem a tad low but then we don't know how much it is used or what condition the lenses and flash are in. The 70-200 does look like it has some wear on it and it is odd that the lens and the tc are not covered by lens caps. This might be because it was broke apart for the images. There could be plenty of reasons for the poor quality shots. I've seen plenty of top quality equipment being offered from estate sales and this is done by people that have no interest in photography so they could care less what their display pictures look like. The price is probably brought down somewhat by the fact that you would have to buy a new charger.

Overall there are some things about this add that are weird and some that might make it seem ok. Its a personal call.
