I go through this dilemma from time to time....
Should I replace my old (from film days!) 17-35mm L with the new version 16-35mm L?
What would I "get" by doing that?
(I love this lens...I use the entire focal range on a FF.)

I also dont thing the 17-35 is weather sealed if that matters to you. whether its worth the cost to upgrade to you or not is up to you. My Flickr
