Hello all i'm just a newbi starting on photography and i just want some tips on how to get better results and adjust myself accordingly so for my gear Cannon 1000D with the lens EF-S 18-55mm 1:3.5-5.6 II and here is my first photo i want to reveal to the world :P

Didn't put it here strait because somehow i screwed and it was putting it full size so link there strait to it :)

Looking forward for opinions :D

PS: Forgot to say this image doesn't have any editing it is as i took it ^^

welcome to this wonderful art that some have mastered, and most will never stop learning..

check out the animals subforum, there is a cat thread. that should give you some inspiration and an idea of what better photography looks like

otherwise, ill give you fair warning, dont ever lets comments in critique corner discourage you as they are meant to show you your faults. keep snapping away and make sure you make an attempt to make a better photograph at each exposure

as for the image, its a snapshot to me, the bright light in the back washes out whats in front, pay attention to what you see in the viewfinder and frame your shot properly before exposing

^ agree..watch that bright back light..do not shoot into the sun/bright lights.you will lose your subject.

Read the manual;) and ask questions.its all a learning process.
