Yes indeed they are 2 male Pelicans. Nice shot. This is one of my favorite subjects to shoot. I posted a whole series of Pelican shots here over the last 2 weeks. Nice capture! The one on the right appears to have am injured foot.

Nice shot. Yes, these are adult Brown Pelicans. I'd say the one on the left is a male and the one on the right is a female based on size. Soon they'll develop their breeding color, dark brown on the back of their neck.
