As the title indicates, these are all complete strangers. This was my first try at this type of project, which I really wanted to do for a long time.
It was interesting and a lot of fun. I'm going to keep at it - more to come. Or you could check out my flickr if your impatient :)

Awesome idea and great looking shots. Have you come across any/many cranky or uptight non-takers. It is obvious you have full consent for the ones you have posted.

These are great man. I'm curious to hear some stories too, as I'm sure everyone else has some crazy ones. I.e. what did you talk about? If you don't mind my asking that is.

Canon T1i, 28-135/IS/USM, 50 1.8.
If someone wants to buy me the ef-s 10-22mm, PM ME... Just sayin'.

Too many to tell - but what is consistant is everyone is curious what the project is for. But what shocked me (today was my first day shooting this projects) is how nice people are in general.

I just tell them its an artistic project I'm doing, trying to get random strangers in the street to take a few shots of and 90% of them are like "okay, sure!"

I was real nervous for when I started but it became a lot of fun! :)

Great start to the project. I've always wanted to try something like this but never got up the nerve to do it. Good on you.

This is great work by both of you guys....Having a real interest in people and city life photography, I've been thinking about trying this myself...Being a very shy person and already having trouble taking candid pics of strangers, maybe this will be an easier way for me to get into this type of photography...Please post more and of your guys experiences...I'm really interested...Great work again :)

Kudos to you man. I think it'd be great fun doing something like this, but I'm just way to nervous asking complete strangers if I can take their picture... maybe if I start with semi-strangers and work my way up... haha.
Keep it up!

ive been contemplating about doing this for some time now but ive never quite known how to go about starting....
i know id use either my 17-55 or my 50 1.8 but like wheres a good sociable place where people have got time to kill and people arent to hostile...

Favourite loadout currently: Canon 7D mkI + 50mm f/1.4
Next desired loadout: Canon 5D mkII + 85mm f/1.2
Side Arm: 17-55mm f/2.8
What can you capture with the click of a button?

Location to try

If you want to try photographing strangers but not sure where, I would go to a place that is having a event or a place where there are lots of people.

Ask and tell the person you would like to take their photo. Once they agree be quick and take one or two shots. Later on the more comfortable you are the more shots you will end up taking.

Good luck to everyone. :)
